Trip in South Korea: Seoul & Naminara

On July 31st till August 4th, we had a short break in Seoul, Korea! Well, actually this trip was not really planned. It's because my husband was suddenly needed by his company in Seoul for 2 weeks, so I just visited Seoul for few days to spend weekend with him. You know, I always love Seoul! I have been to South Korea before, I like Korean movies, I like Korean food, I like Korean fashion, I like Korean make-up, I like Korean language, I like everything about Korea I guess.

During this trip, we went to Nami Island, the place where the series Winter Sonata was taken. We also went to the themepark where the series Stairways to Heaven was taken. You see, I love Korean movies! We also went to some other places and I shouted 'Ohh I know this place!' whenever I remember that I saw it in the movie. Anyway, I enjoyed this trip so much!

Trip in Thailand: Phuket & Bangkok

On May 2009, we explored Thailand! We love Thai food, we love Thai massage, and we love snorkeling! Yes! Snorkeling was our unforgettable experience during this Thailand trip. We went to Phi Phi Island by boat to enjoy the beauty of the sea by snorkeling. Phuket's sea is very clean, clear, and blue! Nice view, relaxing hotel, good food, and good massage made this trip soooo perfect! We spent 4 days in Thailand, including Bangkok.

Trip in China: @ Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai

On 22-28 Jan 09, we decided to explore China mainland! I wanted to visit China especially Beijing since many years ago. I have been amazed by the history of China and its kingdoms. This time, during the Chinese New Year holiday, finally we managed to spare time to visit China! We went to Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai. We planned our own tickets, hotels, and we took land tours in China. It was an adventurous journey but it was a fruitful trip for both of us. That was the first long trip (without computer and internet connection) for us, just the two of us.

After visiting China and understanding the history of China, I learned something very important. We all now know about the great history of China because the emperors or the people who lived in that time wrote books. I'm now keeping the record of my life journey. Who knows that my life story here will be a great history 2000 years from now? ^_^

Trip in China: @ Hong Kong - Stanley Beach

From what I knew, Hong Kong is a city with buildings and buildings and buildings. I never expected that Hong Kong has this place for relax. This place is called Stanley. The two famous places in Stanley are the market and the beach. On the way to the beach, we saw this modern westernized street which has bars and restaurants along the street. I did not feel like in Hong Kong when I was walking along this street. It's just so different, it's just so western. This was quite a refreshing trip. I was so glad to be able to go out of town to see beach!

Second Home - Hong Kong

After arriving in Hong Kong, again we stayed in a hotel for the first one month. We finally moved to our apartment on 3 Nov 2008. These are the pictures of our second home (in Hong Kong). It's on 45th floor. I love this home so much because this is the first time we have a proper mini-home for our mini-family. This home is facing the sea so it gives us the feeling of having a relax time in the middle of a crowded-Hong Kong. Oh my home sweet home!

Trip in China: @ Hong Kong - The Peak

On 25th Oct 2008, we made a half day trip to The Peak, a higher part of Hong Kong by peak tram. We met many celebrities there so we had to take out our time for them since they were begging us to take pictures with them. No la, just kidding. We visited Madame Tussauds Hong Kong! I used to love Hong Kong movie stars! I used to be crazy for them! And, that was the only time I could take pictures with them although they are in the form of wax. It still gave me a lil bit of stingy sensation when I was standing beside them, by the way. :)

Then, we made hand-wax our selves. We were holding hands and they made the wax of our hands! It was a romantic-childish experience but I love it.

At last, we walked around there to see Hong Kong city view from the peak. The weather was so nice. The view was also quite nice although it was foggy.

Trip in China: @ Macau

On September 2008, we decided to leave Japan and move to Hong Kong for good. Visiting China has been my dream since I was younger. I love the history of China and now God gives us the opportunity to stay in Hong Kong to explore China. We arrived in Hong Kong on October 2, 2008. The first trip that we made (on October 5) since we arrived in Hong Kong was going to Macau! We took 1 hour trip by ferry from Hong Kong to Macau. Macau is a very unique place, the mixture between Chinese and Western cultures. We went to Senado square and the places around it, like St. Paul Ruins, and some other churches.

In the evening, we visited one of the new hotels casino in Macau, called The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on Taipa island, another part of Macau.
This hotel is the best that I could ever imagined! It has european majestic look. Can you see the brochure that I was holding from the picture? That's the picture of the hotel from outside. Isn't it so gorgeous?

Trip in Japan: @ Nippara - Okutama

Again, we need some refreshing air, we need to get out of a hectic city of Tokyo to somewhere very nature. On Sep 2nd, we went to Nippara and Okutama, around 2 hours drive away from Tokyo, with our friends. In Nippara, we visited Limestone cave in which the inside temperature is 11C all year long, so it's warm in winter and it's cold in summer, amazing right? Then, we went to Okutama Lake, crossing the Floating Bridge, seeing the nature forest, village, mountain streams, tracking rails, etc. Returning back to Tokyo, we went to Odaiba to see the marvelous night view of Tokyo. Today's theme is just: seeing two sides of Japan, both the nature side and the city side. Both are beautiful! I never say a country 'beautiful', but, this time I would love to say that Japan is really beautiful!

Trip in Japan: @ Toda Koen - Saitama

It's summer and it's time to enjoy hanabi (fireworks)! We went to Toda Koen, somewhere in Saitama, a small city near Tokyo to see fireworks, together with thousandssss of Japanese. It's a very interesting experience to see how Japanese enjoy the summer by watching fireworks festival and wearing Yukata (their traditional clothes for summer). Me? I was wearing Yukata too (I mean, my own traditional clothes for summer; round-neck shirt and shorts)! Anyway, fireworks in Japan is really spectacular! It's not just ordinary fireworks that I've ever seen before! Along the streets, there were many colorful lanterns and food stalls that were selling Japanese traditional foods; it's exactly like what I saw in Japanese movie. OMG, I can't believe I can experience it myself! Although the weather was soooo hot and humid, although we were sweating like a pair of wet rats, we still enjoyed it because that was our first Hanabi Festival in our life!

First Wedding Anniversary

What happened on our first Anniversary? Honestly, I lost my precious wedding ring three months after our wedding. That was the most painful moment I've ever experienced in my life! Many times I regretted my clumsiness so much. Lots of times I wished that I could turn back the time before I lost my wedding ring. Numerous times I was so in pain whenever I passed by Tiffany & Co stores. Countless times I prayed to God that I could find my ring again. And every time I felt like I was missing something in my marriage since I lost my wedding ring. On our first anniversary, my hubby got me a wedding ring, again! My Tiffany wedding ring is back! It's exactly the same type and same design!

I won't ever forget the moment when he put my left hand on his chest..
I won't ever forget the moment when he surprisingly put this ring onto my forth finger for the 2nd time..
I won't ever forget the moment when I was crying so hard after I saw this ring back on my forth finger..
I won't ever forget his warm expression when he smiled at me after seeing me crying..
I won't ever forget everything happened in that morning!

We did not celebrate our first wedding anniversary like what usually other couples do. We had no candle light dinner, no night cruising, and no romantic trip. On that day, we spent time together for one full day. Just at home. Just the two of us. Nobody else. We were catching up what we missed lately.
With pure faces.
With pure hearts.
With pure love.
And with our wedding rings that bond us together!

Thank you honey, for giving me this special ring to me, again..
Love you.
