Our marriage proposal, we followed traditional Chinese custom. There was no one-to-one proposal like what westerners usually do with diamond ring, and flowers, and romantic candle light dinner at the lakeside, and the boat, and the fireworks, and the big ribbon "Would you marry me?" in the sky, and the.. ahhh! For me, my marriage proposal was when parents and all the relatives come and meet and discuss. Dunno what they discussed, I was asked to stay in my room and could only go out when everything was 'well-discussed' to serve drinks, receive necklace, cipika-cipiki, take pictures, and eat. However, Ron still bought me this ring in Singapore before we went back to Indonesia. So, can I call this ring as my 'Proposal Ring'?Our marriage proposal was on 25th December 2005 at 11am at my home. Below pictures are the ceremony procedures.
Fyi, we never arranged to wear same color of dress (for me, my mum, and my mum-in-law) on that ceremony day. I bought the dress in Singapore (I should wear pink dress but I couldn't find nice pink dress), my mum was wearing that dress because that was the only dress she could fit in at that moment (oopss..), I have no idea about my mum-in-law's dress.
